Description

A heartwarming and versatile black bean dish that brings deep comfort and a symphony of flavors to your table.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 fresh lime
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the black beans.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and minced garlic, sauté for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and soft.
  3. Sprinkle in cumin and paprika, toast for about 1 minute.
  4. Add the black beans, stir to combine, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and add lime juice and chopped cilantro.
  7. Serve in bowls, garnishing with additional cilantro if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, let the dish marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Customize by adding bell peppers or jalapeños for a spicy kick.
