Description

A delightful combination of juicy beef, fresh vegetables, and melted cheese all wrapped in foil for an easy and flavorful outdoor dinner.


Ingredients

  • lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder (to taste)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups baby potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Ketchup, mustard, pickles, or any favorite toppings
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then form into four equal patties.
  3. Tear off large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil and layer each packet with sliced potatoes, followed by onions and bell peppers, then place a patty on top.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and add more salt and pepper if desired. Fold and seal the foil tightly.
  5. Cook on the grill or in the oven for 25–30 minutes, ensuring patties reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  6. Carefully unwrap the packets, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and serve hot with your chosen toppings.

Notes

You can prep ingredients ahead of time and even assemble the packets the night before. Customize your packets with other vegetables or toppings!
