Description

A hearty and indulgent dish featuring tender chicken topped with smoky bacon, rich BBQ sauce, and gooey cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Place the seared chicken in a baking dish and pour BBQ sauce over the top, coating every inch.
  5. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top and bake for 20-25 minutes until juices run clear.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
  7. Garnish with fresh green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

Allow chicken to rest at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches 165°F.
