Description

Deliciously light and fluffy churro bites made effortlessly in an air fryer, coated in cinnamon-sugar for a sweet indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Oil spray (for air frying)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup water, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/4 cup butter, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Allow the dough to cool until manageable.
  4. Transfer the cooled dough into a piping bag or a zip bag with the corner snipped off.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Pipe bite-sized pieces of dough into the air fryer basket, making sure they have space to expand.
  7. Lightly spray with oil and cook for about 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a bowl. Toss churro bites in this mixture while hot.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
