Delightful Hawaiian meatballs infused with crushed pineapple and soy sauce, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped green onions, crushed pineapple, salt, and black pepper. Use a wooden spoon or your hands to blend until just combined.
- Form the mixture into balls about one inch in diameter, and set aside.
- Place meatballs into a slow cooker or on a prepared baking sheet for baking.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic powder, and grated ginger until smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the meatballs. Cook in a slow cooker on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, or simmer on the stovetop for about 30 minutes until fully cooked.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
Notes
Make meatball mixture a day in advance, or freeze raw meatballs to cook later. Shrink meal prep time by cooking meatballs in an air fryer.
