Prawn Saganaki is a delicious Greek dish featuring prawns cooked in a rich tomato sauce with feta cheese, herbs, and spices.

- 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
- 200g feta cheese, crumbled
- 400g canned tomatoes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Stir in the canned tomatoes, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes until it thickens.
- Add the prawns to the skillet and cook until they turn pink.
- Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese on top and let it melt slightly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
- This dish can be made with other seafood like calamari or mussels.
