Description

Indulge in the comforting flavors of baked ham and cheese sliders, featuring tender Hawaiian rolls filled with savory ham, gooey cheese, and a hint of Dijon mustard, all topped with a golden-brown crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices of sliced ham
  • 12 slices of Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer the sliced ham over the bottom halves.
  4. Add the sliced cheese evenly over the ham.
  5. Prepare the mustard mixture by whisking together Dijon mustard, finely chopped onion, and poppy seeds. Spread this over the cheese.
  6. Place the top halves of the rolls back on and gently press down.
  7. Combine melted butter and garlic powder, then brush this over the tops of the rolls.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the tops are golden brown.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing sliders a few hours in advance and refrigerating them. Adjust bake time if they go in cold. Feel free to customize with additional veggies or different mustard.
