Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease each cavity of your donut pan with non-stick spray.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Whisk the wet ingredients in a separate medium bowl: apple cider, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Fold the dry and wet ingredients together gently until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Drizzle caramel sauce on top of the donuts and allow it to set before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the batter the night before. If you don’t have a donut pan, use a muffin tin instead.
