- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips and/or M&Ms
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cream the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and/or M&Ms until evenly distributed.
- Shape tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use all-purpose gluten-free flour.
