- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large egg yolks
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Ground cinnamon for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, egg yolks, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium saucepan.
- Whisk together thoroughly.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens and bubbles (about 5-10 minutes).
- Pour the creamy filling into the pre-baked pie crust evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges are firm and the center is softly wobbly.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack to help the filling set completely.
- Before serving, sprinkle ground cinnamon lightly over the top.
Notes
Cool completely before cutting to avoid a runny filling. This pie can be prepared a day ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
