- 16 ounces gnocchi
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the gnocchi: Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the shredded chicken, heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Allow to simmer gently.
- Melt in the cheeses: Lower the heat and gradually stir in cream cheese and shredded cheddar until melted smoothly.
- Combine gnocchi and sauce: Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet, tossing to coat each piece in the sauce. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
- Serve: Dish out portions into warm bowls and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
You can make chicken ahead of time and the sauce can be stored in the fridge for deeper flavor. Avoid overcooking gnocchi for the best texture.
