Description

A vibrant dish of crispy tortilla chips coated in tangy salsa verde, topped with creamy avocado and queso fresco.

Ingredients

  • Tortilla Chips
  • Tomatillos
  • Serrano Chiles
  • Avocado
  • Queso Fresco
  • Cilantro
  • Lime Juice
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salsa Verde: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Halve your tomatillos and serrano chiles, placing them on a baking sheet. Roast for 15-20 minutes until charred and blistered. Blend roasted ingredients with cilantro, lime juice, and salt until smooth.
  2. Heat the Salsa: In your skillet over medium heat, pour in the freshly blended salsa verde and gently warm it.
  3. Toss in the Tortilla Chips: Add tortilla chips to the salsa, carefully tossing them with a spatula to coat.
  4. Assemble and Garnish: Serve immediately, topped with diced avocado, crumbled queso fresco, and fresh cilantro or lime wedges.

Notes

Make the salsa verde a day in advance and store it in the fridge. Rewarm gently before tossing with chips.
