Description

A fresh and vibrant homemade salsa that elevates any meal with its perfect blend of ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 12 jalapeños, seeded and minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: In a mixing bowl, finely dice the tomatoes, chop the onions, and mince the jalapeños and cilantro.
  2. Mix them up: Gently toss together the diced tomatoes, finely chopped onions, chopped cilantro, and minced jalapeños in the bowl.
  3. Add zing: Squeeze the lime over the mixture, ensuring the juice coats everything evenly.
  4. Season: Sprinkle salt to taste and stir gently. Avoid excessive mixing to prevent the tomatoes from breaking down into mush.
  5. Let it sit: Allow the salsa to rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve & enjoy: Serve the salsa with crispy tortilla chips, or use it to top tacos, burritos, grilled meats, or even a fresh salad.

Notes

Make ahead and store in the fridge for up to three days. The salsa improves in flavor as it sits.
